Hi there! I'm Billie.
I'm a dog trainer located in Toronto, who can help you with everything from puppy basics to aggression. My speciality however, is separation anxiety. After previously working full time for a large Toronto dog training school, I now run my own business. In addition to my private practice I also work for Alliance Service Dogs, further contributing to the well-being of dogs and their handlers.
You’ve probably noticed there are alot of dog trainers out there and you want to find the right one for you. Every dog is unique, so I tailor my training approach to suit their individual needs and personalities. Training can be stressful so I like to inject a little humor into our sessions. I’m here to support you on your journey with your dog. When you hire me, we are a team. I will listen to you and work with you on your goals, after all, you are the expert in your dog! Whether you're a new pet parent or a seasoned dog owner, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
My Philosophy
As a CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer- Knowledge Assessed) and CSAT (Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer) I'm committed to providing evidence-based training methods and consistently invest in my continuing education. Dog training is a science and I believe all trainers have a responsibility to stay up-to-date on that science.
Training your dog should be an enjoyable and informative experience. We will enter into a relationship based on honesty and understanding in order to do what is best for you and your dog. I believe in creating a fun and rewarding learning experience for both dogs and their humans. By using evidence-based positive reinforcement methods we can build strong bonds and achieve amazing results.

More about me then. Originally from Ireland, I moved to Toronto in 2014 and began working in the corporate world. After several years, I realized I was NOT a corporate girlie so I started exploring my other passion, animals! My journey as a trainer began when I started volunteering at a well-known dog training company in Toronto in 2020. I completed the company’s internship and was hired full-time as a Dog Trainer teaching basic and advanced classes as well as taking on many complex behavioural cases.
While interning at this company I worked at a daycare and adventure company for dogs where I got a lot of hands-on experience. During my time at the dog training company I had many learning opportunities, including certifying with CCPDT, becoming a CSAT, attending the Clicker Expo conference virtually, and attending the Dogs in the City conference in Toronto. I also completed the Aggression in Dogs online course (Michael Shikashio) and completed many webinars.
When I'm not working, I love spending time with my senior Shih-Poo, Todrick, and my mischief of rats – yes, rats! In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, weightlifting, reading, movies, playing Beat Saber, tackling jigsaw puzzles, and of course doom scrolling!
